Although beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, the feeling of beautiful exists solely in the mind of the beheld. Beauty is how you feel inside and it reflects and shines through in your eyes and demeanour. It is not something physical, but very emotional and spiritual. Like all magnificent things, it’s very simple. There is nothing complicated about beauty. People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine like jewels in the sunlight, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within. And if there is nothing there, then there is nothing there.
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication, elegance a glowing inner peace and grace an ability to give as well as to receive and be thankful. Mystery is a hidden laugh always ready to surface. Glamour only radiates if there is a sublime courage and bravery deep down in the soul and is like the moon because it only shines because the sun is there.
Grace and dignity begin with a simple awareness of who we are and who we are becoming. The most beautiful things you can wear are your self-confidence, self-awareness and yourself love. The highest and most beautiful things in life are not to be heard, not for sale nor seen easily but can only be lived, felt and experienced. Most of your stress comes from how you react or respond to situations, not what is actually happening.
The relationship you have with yourself is the most serious because you can never escape or hide away from who you are. If you don’t forgive every mistake and accept every flaw, you will gradually lose self-confidence and stop loving yourself by descending into the pits of self-loathing and uncertainty. When you look in the mirror, you may see a person who has made a real mess of things and some of the internal conversations you have will not necessarily be complimentary because most of us are incredibly self-critical and find it difficult to be any other way. Perhaps you are unaware of some of the beautiful ways you may have gently touched the lives of others by your friendship and kindness, and the difference you have made to how they feel, and even contributed to influencing their lives and how they think about and perceive things. Maybe you are not fully open to all the extraordinary memories you have helped to create ,even when the skies were grey and everyone and everything around you was collapsing in a heap. Perhaps you are their Earth Angel whilst behaving like your own worst enemy at the same time.
Life is finite, fragile and one day, final. The end of all our days comes to us all. Life is there one minute and gone the next. Nothing must ever be taken for granted because nothing lasts forever. Say what’s in your heart and then a little bit more, don’t hold back. Everything but love is temporary, and at the end of the day, love outlives us all. Be the one to stand out in the crowd like a beacon of glowing light. Be the one to go the extra mile. Beautiful things don’t beg for a chance to grow, they just do as nature takes its course.
Good taste and the amount of money spent are interrelated, but not necessarily dependent on each other. Everything has beauty of its own, but not everyone chooses to see it. Swankiness get noticed but style gets remembered.
Beauty is power, and a smile is its sword.
