Hello Readers,
All our decisions determine our destiny. You are not a victim of your circumstances, you are a product of your decisions, but you have to do what is right for you because no one else is walking in your shoes. In the end we only regret the chances we didn’t take.
It is often said that change is the only constant in life. People who do not embrace change are eventually bound to lose ground, direction and inevitably, stagnate. But any change, even for the better is always accompanied by slight draw backs and the odd discomfort, because nothing in this life is perfect and everything requires a certain amount of adjustment. We are all creatures of habit and feel safe within our own little daily routine, however, many people harbour a terrible fear of change. They do not trust their instincts enough to make a decision, often relying on others to advise them, thus spending a lot of time floundering and wondering what they should have done, could have done and never did, and after going round and round in ever decreasing circles, ending up back at square one again.
It does not necessarily take much strength to do things, but it requires a great deal of energy and effort to decide what to do. But once you decide that something is right, there is nothing that can stop you from doing it. The hardest thing about the road not taken is that you never know where it might have led. Be decisive, right or wrong because the road of life is paved with ‘flat squirrels’ who couldn’t make a decision. Do nothing and nothing happens. Life is about making a decision. You either make them or they are made for you, but you can’t avoid them either.
Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face all the questions you have been avoiding all your life. Often, what is right is forgotten by what is convenient. But whatever you decide and whatever changes you instigate, don’t let it be because you don’t think you have a choice, because we all have choices.
Someone once said that anyone can be great under rosy circumstances, but the true test of character is measured by how well a person makes decisions during difficult times.
‘Every game is winnable if you change your mind about what the prize should be and your perspective about the players at the table’. (Shannon L Alder)
You are always one decision away from a totally different life.
Until Next Week,
Love and Light,
