Hello Readers,
In life you have three choices, give up, give in or give it your all.
No one is chaining us to a gatepost forcing us to do anything. Sometimes it is nothing more that gritting your teeth through the pain and getting on with things rather than forever running away, leaving a huge mess for others to sort out once you have gone. The easiest thing in the world is to quit. You can pack your bags at any time and disappear into the ether, but before you do, be aware that all our decisions carry hidden consequences, mostly ones that we didn’t account for. Before making any hard and fast decisions, think long and hard about your actions and the people who are likely to be affected by your behaviour. The hardest thing in the world is to wake up each morning, look in the mirror and ask yourself if you like what you see? Are you a quitter, or are you going to stick around, face the music by dealing with your problems? It doesn’t matter how much money some people have, or what a good life they have been fortunate to live, they still have a knack for choosing precisely the things that are worst for them. The choices you make now, the people you surround yourself with, they all have the potential to affect your life one way or another, even who you are, forever, and sometimes it’s not that hard to make a choices if you know what your values are. In the end, everything that you do is a choice that you have made and it doesn’t matter how hard it was to make, what matters the most is, that you made it. Happiness is a choice, optimism is a choice, generosity is a choice, respect is a choice. Everything that you do is a choice, so choose wisely. So if you are not happy with your lot, start doing some serious thinking about the state of your life.
There are some things that we don’t get to choose, you cannot control everything that happens to you, but you can control the way you think about stuff and all the events. You always have a choice. In any moment of making a decision, the best thing you can do is the ‘right thing for you’ at that moment in time. The worst thing you can do is nothing, because that will result in you continually moaning about it all and living a life of regret wishing you had done something differently.
Maturity is when you stop complaining and making feeble excuses, blaming others for your situation and start making a few changes, so may your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears. There comes a time in your life when you have to choose to turn another page, write another book or simply close it.
Do something today that your future self with thank you for.
Until Next Week,
Love and Light,
Linda and The Lulas xxx
