Hello Readers,
No one in their right mind wakes up one morning and decides to plan to fail. During the hustle, bustle and madness of life, what happens is that we often fail to make a plan. Its vitally important to make a point of creating some uninterrupted time out for yourself. Make yourself unavailable whilst you give important matters some deep thought and if at all possible, start on working out a plan of action.
We all lead crazy, busy lives and one thing we never seem to have time for is ourselves. Not only that, we can often feel incredibly overwhelmed by others demanding to infiltrate a chunk of our busy day, insisting that they are feeling guilty of neglecting us or not being around when they think we need them, when in truth, all we really desire is a bit personal space, peace and quiet without the phone constantly ringing or someone standing at the door wanting even a greater chunk of you. There are times when we can cope with the demands of life easily, but if we are ill, run down, frazzled and fighting exhaustion, then the picture is totally different. But one of the biggest problems you may encounter is that there are certain people who just do not understand how you really feel and honestly believe that you have been put on this earth solely to serve them and do their bidding. These types are also experts in making you feel guilty because you are not dancing to their tune, but only if you allow them to continue. Perhaps its time to get a grip and make those all important, radical changes to improve the quality of your life.
Creating more personal time tops the lists and goals of many people who want to accomplish and managing to find between 15 and 20 mins a day of uninterrupted ‘me time’ to just sit and chill is not as easy as it sounds, but learning to say ‘no’ to people and sticking to your decision to distance yourself from outside hindrances will slowly begin to empower you and the more empowered you begin to feel the stronger and more decisive you will begin to act.
Although all this sounds easier said than done, once you start practicing your new behaviour, gradually, everything will begin to get easier because people will recognise the boundary lines that you have cleverly set out for both yourself and them. Not only that, you will be far better thought of and respected as a result of you taking such a positive stance.
Do remember, there are only 24 hours in the day so you cannot create any more extra hours, but you can clear some time by re evaluating priorities and practicing smart time management.
When the going gets tough in my world, The Lulas and I take ourselves off for a jolly good brisk walk and some much welcomed fresh air. It clears the head, enables us to think a bit straighter and burns up a few calories whist we are marching up and down those busy fields, along an empty beach or where ever we choose to find some much deserved peace and quiet.
Until next week,
Love and Light,
Linda and The Lulas xxx
