Hello Readers,
Other people’s time management or the lack of them can cause misunderstandings and at times mayhem. When people bite off more than they can chew they are left with no alternative than to continually wear themselves out by trying to juggle all the balls in the air until one day all the balls fall down on the ground around them resulting in disappointment because nothing much is gained by this constant cycle of making poor choices.
Taking on board too much can result in exhaustion and a feeling of complete worthlessness, especially when they refuse to listen to good advice because they think they know best. Prioritising, making plans and doing things in a calm, collected and systematic way may sound boring, but this particular recipe works. There is nothing wrong with being a plodder and telling people a simple ‘no’ when you are overstretched and have no spare time right now. Everything has its time and place and often the slower and more methodical you are, the more you will achieve and the further you will go. When someone who is clearly out of control and very much a people pleaser tries to cross your boundaries by expecting you to accommodate them because their lives are in complete chaos and drama, the worst thing you can do is to let them dictate to you. If something is not suiting you and forcing you to make too many changes that you feel are instinctively wrong, then put your foot down and stand your ground.
Make your boundaries known and once you respect yourself, others will begin to respect you too and hopefully learn from your example.
Until Next Week,
Love and Light,
Linda and The Lulas xxx
