Hello Readers,
We are all living and witnessing times of great changes and increasing uncertainty about the safety of our planet and our own personal security during these very troubling times. We are learning to be more vigilant and selective about where we travel to and some of the people we come into contact with because nothing in this life is guaranteed and no promises of our safety is set in stone. We are training ourselves to be more mindful about whom we confide and often think twice before engaging with certain associations because no one feels safe anymore. Recent events such as the terrorist attacks killing and maiming innocent people have left us all feeling horrified afraid and vulnerable. Even though there is a saying that everything happens for a reason, we are still asking the question, what is that reason? Because none if it makes any sense.
But no matter how isolated or alone you may feel, none of us are islands and everybody needs somebody sometime. If you seriously think about it, there is always someone or a group of people whether on social media, a neighbour, a friend, work colleague or just an individual going about their daily business that you are connected with, whether deeply or casually. Now, more than ever before I think it’s important to watch out for your friends, make a point of checking up on them and not hesitating in picking a phone up, sending an e mail or text message and letting them know that you care. If you look hard and long enough you will soon find the people who need your help and if you listen for long enough you will soon hear them call out to you because one of the most important things in this life is the connections you make with others.
This is how new empires are built, by serving, by connecting, caring and helping others and its rewards are never feeling so alone again. It’s nothing to do with the length of time you have perhaps known someone, its often about an instant recognition on an unconscious level that our souls know one another. Our lives may not fit together, but we are all living beings sharing space on this earth. Our prime purpose in this life is to help others and if you can’t help them at least do not hurt them. When we put our own needs to one side in order to help others we are able to put all our gifts and skills to good use.
You have not lived until you have done something for someone who cannot repay you because each of us has a unique part to play in the healing of this world.
Until Next Week,
Love and Light,
Linda and The Lulas xxx
