Hello Readers,
Welcome to 2016, The Year of Opportunity.
I hope in this New Year to come that you make many mistakes and learn through your experiences. If you are making mistakes, you are making things and making progress with personal growth. Make 2016 the year to try new things, learning, living, pushing yourself that bit harder, making a few positive changes to adopting a healthier lifestyle, changing yourself and thus changing your world. Have a go at doing things you never dare had attempt before because most importantly, it’s all about doing something to make improvements where ever you can. Whatever it is you are scared of, do it, because the difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a persons’ determination.
New Year’s Day is the first blank page of a 365 page book, so make up your mind to write a good one. We will open the book, its pages are blank, we are going to draw all the pictures and put the words on ourselves. This book is called ‘Opportunity’. We all have choices and with our choices come consequences. There is no such thing as having ‘no choice’. If someone tells you that, then they are not giving you any credible reasons, they are just making feeble excuses. You can so easily pass through another year coasting on cruise control or you can step out of your comfort zone in a genuine attempt to make a difference. Dig deep down within and discover what you would like to happen in your life during the coming year. What would you like to do? What good would you like to attract into your life? What particular areas of growth would you like to encourage and become more confident as a result? What would you like to achieve? What would you like to happen regarding a certain friendship or in your romantic life? What blocks or character defects would you like to have removed.
Write it all down. Take a notebook and a pen that is a good ‘speller’ and feels comfortable to hold in your hand and write it all down as an affirmation of your life and your ability to choose, then let it go and see what happens. Goals give us direction because they put a powerful force into play on a universal, conscious and subconscious level. Goals and turning dreams into reality give us direction and a purpose to work hard. Remember, all things are possible, you just have to ‘believe’. It’s all about the Universal Laws of Attraction. ‘Believe, Expect, Receive’.
So many people spend January 1st walking through their lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done and cracks to be patched and wall papered over, perhaps because they don’t want others to see just how dysfunctional, disorganised and messed up their lives really are. Perhaps the coming year is one to balance our lives, not looking for flaws but instead for ‘potential’.
My darling Poodles, who are also known as ‘The Lulas’ and the ‘Psychic Poodles, Tallulah and Hilda, are now 6 years old and it only feels like yesterday since I wrote a Hello Readers article introducing them and telling you all about their antics and the joys and frustrations of having two baby dogs to bring up together. My daughter is convinced that they are in charge (which is true) and that they have trained me rather than me them!!lol. As it turned out, I am their pet and they are my constant companions. They love to sit in my consulting room with me whilst we do Tarot, Crystal and Palmistry Readings and I know many of you love to see The Lulas when you visit and often ask which salon they visit to obtain their glamorous ‘Teddy Bear’ look? If you would like your pooch to have a complete make over and look like a ‘Movie Star’, make an appointment at ‘The Bed and Biscuit Pet Hotel’, Eastwood, Notts. 01773 719641. My dear friend Denise Garratt is the proprietor and will be only too pleased to advise on your doggie and how to give it a ‘cut with direction’. New Year, New look!!
Once again I have been privileged to be invited by The Derby Telegraph to write your New Year Stars and these will also feature in the Stoke newspapers on New Year’s Eve, December 31st, together with a feature and photos of me and The Lulas. These Stars will also be available for you to read on my website. www.lindalancashire.co.uk
I would like to offer you all a massive, heartfelt thank you for following my Stars both on my website and in all the publications that I write for and to everyone who follows my 2 daily Facebook blogs. I would also like to offer my deepest heartfelt thanks to the BMI Park Hospital Nottingham, doctors, nurses and dedicated medical team who saved my life during treatment for Breast Cancer during 2014/15. Having lived life, a bit similar to ‘looking down the barrel of a shotgun for 18 months, I am now so much better and healthier and have been given a second chance in life, for which I am very grateful. Through my work and life’s experiences I feel deeply honoured to have connected and met some of the most wonderful people in the world and have made some very beautiful friends, but I would also like to thank my darling family and closest friends for their love and continuous support during my darkest times, because together, we got through it all and are now here on the other side looking forward to a bright and happy future.
As I think about you all and our friendship and how happy it has made me, I would like to express just how much joy you have given me, I want to wish you love and happiness in return. On behalf of my beloved family, The Lulas and myself, we would all like to wish you all a very Happy New Year.
Until Next Week,
Linda Lancashire and The Lulas xxx
