Hello Readers,
As the old year comes to a close it is a time for reflection and a time to release old thoughts, old beliefs and forgive old hurts. Whatever happened during the past year, the New Year promises new beginnings, exciting new experiences and new relationships await. It’s a time to start feeling alive and being appreciative and thankful for what life has to offer and most importantly, the fact that we are still here and still alive and still able to enjoy yet another day. Celebrate the New Year ahead in your heart because it’s another chance to get things right, ‘for last year’s words belong to last year’s language and next year’s words await another voice’.
Think long and carefully about your life and what you would like to achieve over the coming months. Dig deeply within and discover your inner strengths and just what and how much you are capable of achieving because this is an affirmation that you are truly interested in living your life in the year to come. What would you like to attain? Little things, big things? Where would you like to go? What would you like to accomplish? What new friendships would you like to make? What parts of personal growth would you like to happen to you? These are just a few questions that you could ask yourself because the New Year ahead heralds hope and optimism for better times to come. Forget what you became, what matters is what we have become and our potential to overcome the challenges that are put before us along our journey.
It’s inevitable that you will know of at least one doom monger, someone whose glass is always half empty, the one who continually seems to draw the short straw and who is full of anger, bitterness and regret. But this does not mean that you must be affected by their negativity and meanness of spirit either. You may well wish them a very Happy New Year, but they will typically tell you that it’s not happy, it’s exactly the same as any other year, only colder. Look upon these people as your greatest teachers and embrace them because they are showing you very clearly how you must never ever become and turn into. Start the New Year as you mean to go on, in a proud, positive, forward direction and you will discover a whole new world to enjoy and by focusing your energies on things that are good, wholesome and beautiful, you will attract all the right people and experiences towards you as if by a miracle. A bridge of silver wings stretches from the dead ashes of an unforgiving nightmare to the jewelled vision of a life started anew.
Many things and experiences are thrown our way in this game of life and it’s how we deal with them that shows our true strength of character. I want all of you to feel hope in your heart, love and passion in everything you do not only in the forthcoming year, but in every year for the rest of your life. Work towards making your dreams a reality because all things are possible, nothing is impossible, there is always a way forwards, but it’s your job to find it. New Year, New chapter, new verse or just the same old story. Ultimately we write it, the choice is ours. To see the first sunrise in a New Year is the most beautiful and sacred sights of all. ‘Allow not the shallow intentions or vile aspirations of others to taint your heart. Love always and wish others well. With an abundance of positivity will counter the negative, always because if you look for it, there is goodness in every year.
