Hello Readers,
It takes courage to grow up and know who you really are.
Life is too short to waste any amount of time wondering what other people think about you. If they had better things going on in their lives, they wouldn’t have time to sit around talking about you. Most people will judge you within the first second of a meeting and their opinion is never likely to change. Making a good first impression is important because you only get one shot at it, but there also comes a time when you have wake up and realise that it’s your opinion of yourself that matters more than what anyone else thinks about the way you look and how you choose to live your life. You can be the most beautiful person in the world and everyone sees a golden aura glowing all around you when they meet you, but if you yourself do not know it, all of that doesn’t matter one jot. Every second that you spend doubting yourself, every moment that you use to criticism and pull yourself down, is a second wasted, it’s a moment of your life that is thrown away. As long as you look for someone else to validate who you are by seeking their approval, you are setting yourself up for disaster. You will never gain anyone’s approval by begging for it. When you stand confident knowing your own worth, respect always follows.
Self-talk projects your most inner and deepest feelings. When you are happy and content inwardly, you project the same energy outwardly and OK, not everyone is going to like you for it, especially if they have ongoing, unaddressed issues of their own, but its vitally important for your own survival to be whole and complete within yourself. No one can give or provide you with that, you have to discover it for yourself and realise that what others say is totally irrelevant. One of the greatest regrets in life is being what others would want you to be rather than you just being yourself. Being brave enough to be alone frees you to invite people into your life because you want them, not because you need them.
A diamond does not start out polished and shining. It was once nothing special, but with enough care, attention and time, it becomes spectacular. You are that diamond.
Until Next Week,
