Hello Readers,
Where do the lonely go at Christmas? Right now there are so many people all over the world who are feeling lonely and missing someone. They are thinking about people they cannot be with and have secrets like you wouldn’t believe. They wish, they dream and hope and wonder if there are other people out there in a similar position. That’s why Christmas for some people makes everything twice as sad. Sometimes the person who tries to keep everyone happy is often the most loneliest person of all Lonely is not being alone, it’s the feeling that nobody cares. The feeling is inexplicable when in the darkest and loneliest hours of your life even a stranger who is happy to share some time with you later makes you realise you are not totally alone any more. Sometimes the only living souls in our lives are our pets.
Gifts of time and love are the basic ingredients of helping someone trying to get their life back on some sort of even keel. When you give someone your time, you are giving someone a portion of your life that you will never get back. When you give someone your time, your attention, concern you are practising the greatest good deed of all because a friend in need is a friend indeed. In this changing world of technology our shopping and socialising culture is no longer as we remember it in our younger years. More and more people are becoming isolated and ill as a result of spending so much time alone and it’s becoming a massive problem because loneliness is one of the worst and most debilitating feelings anyone can ever experience.
As with anything, you have to go through it, walk the walk and do the journey if you are to even remotely understand it or what desperation others are living through. We must never take anything nor anyone for granted because life can change for any of us in a split second and one day we could find ourselves the ones grateful to receive a kind word and a heartfelt smile.
Until Next Week,
Love and Light,
Linda and The Lulas xxx
