Hello Readers,
Change happens with just one gesture, one person and one moment at a time. Change has to happen, it is inevitable. Everything and every situation has a beginning bit, a middle bit and an end bit, there is no escaping this fact of life, however, change is something so many people are fearful of because they often prefer ‘the devil the know’ to exploring and discovering something new about the world and themselves.
We are all born creatures of habit. Each day we repeat our behaviour patterns. We dress the same way, we eat the same way, we drive the same make of car and decorate our homes year in and year out in the same uniform way. We have our daily routines and feel out of sync if we are forced to change any of these to accommodate other things, which is fine because we all need an element of normality and order to run our lives efficiently but without change, none of us would grow, evolve or learn anything new. There are lots of people that choose to remain in their safe rut whilst others are chomping at the bit to escape an old way of life because they feel trapped and imprisoned in their daily routine. People are very fond of blaming their parents, their partners, their friends, their job, in fact almost anything but themselves for their circumstances in life and y refuse to blame themselves for the choices they have made. According to them, nothing is ever their fault as they happily point the finger of blame at everybody else.
Change can come in many forms in our lives and very often unexpected events occur that force us take a good, long, hard look at ourselves. It might come as a devastating tragedy, illness, broken relationships or new opportunities. Even though change can be difficult, it is necessary if we are to grow and evolve mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Accomplishing anything great takes a tremendous amount of effort and is a real test of strength and character when we force ourselves to try something new. It is only when we push ourselves to the limit that we discover the greatest and most wonderful rewards that are awaiting us, but whatever changes you are faced to deal with you have to be mindful that how you choose to cope and deal with stuff as it comes along will have a huge impact on you, some of the people around you and most importantly, on your future. It’s like throwing a stone into a pond and watching all the ripples graduate further and further outwards, because this demonstrates how many people will be affected by your choices.
The greatest mistake you can make in life is continually fearing that you may fail miserably because you will never achieve anything with that particular mind-set. It’s important that you know there is no such thing as failure, only accomplishing yet another experience and learning valuable lessons in the process. It’s about perseverance and having faith in your abilities to achieve your goals and live your dream.
If you are going to make a change in your life, you have got to operate from a new belief system that says ‘life happens not to you, but for you’
By changing nothing, nothing changes.
Until Next Week,
Love And Light,
Linda and The Lulas xxx
