Hello Readers,
Each mistake and experience teaches you something new about yourself. There is no failure in life, except the no longer trying. It is the courage to continue that counts. Anyone can fail at something they don’t really want. It’s the easiest thing in the world to simply throw the towel in and quit. Sometimes we expect life to work in a certain way and when it doesn’t, we blame others or see it as a sign rather than face the pain of the choices that we should or shouldn’t have made. Often in an attempt to protect
ourselves we choose to sit back and do nothing, reluctant to take chances, or we don’t work hard enough to keep the blessings we have been given. Sometimes we don’t recognise a good thing until it’s too late and then spend a lifetime regretting letting a good opportunity pass us by. Great things happen to those who don’t stop believing , trying, learning and being grateful for what we have been given.
How can any of us have achieved the set goal without endurance to the end? What really takes courage is going after something you really want and not allowing outside distractions, or the lamenting of negative doom mongers discourage us. There is far more fulfilment in life knowing that you tried and did your very best than have settled for second best without a fight. Putting 100% effort into trying will always make you successful, but it’s also important to remember that the effort part of it was never going to be easy. Do not be afraid of starting something new because the cost of playing it safe all the time could far exceed the cost of daring to change, after all, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
No matter what obstacles and challenges you find yourself up against, never give up. Defeat is not the worst of failures, not to have tried is the worst failure of all. It’s like breathing, once you stop, your flame dies letting total darkness and despair extinguish every last gasp of hope. You can’t afford to do that. You must continue taking in even the shallowest of breaths and continuing to put in even the smallest amounts of effort in order to sustain your dreams. When people tell you that you can’t do something, that is when you have to try that little bit harder to prove to yourself that once you put your mind to it, you can and will do anything.
Who are you tomorrow begins with what you do today? If you feel you cannot make it to the finishing line because your circumstances have changed, don’t hold on to what you have with you, instead, pass on your knowledge, your skills, your information and support to someone else who will continue to carry the torch for you into the future, because when they make it, you will also be a winner.
