Hello Readers,
If nothing else in this long and short life, it’s important that you remain true to yourself and make each day a masterpiece. It can take a very long time to really get to know who you really are, but once you do, you will never make the mistake of giving your power away to other people just because of their selfish demands and unreasonable expectation. Whatever you do, never let anyone talk you into doing something about the way you look, the way you act and continually blame you for making them feel annoyed and irritated, because this scenario is so common in many domestic households and places of work. Some people feel so worthless and down trodden that they are even tempted to live half a life, denying themselves true happiness all because it pleases someone else. The biggest mistake anyone can make is not being true to themselves. Instead of writing their own rules, they follow someone else’s and that is when everything starts going wrong. A sure recipe for a life of unhappiness and discontentment is to continually try to change yourself just to please others, or a romantic partner who refuses to accept you for the person that you are because even if you do manage to change things about yourself, eventually, you will find living such a lie extremely hard work, if not impossible and the person you are trying to impress wont appreciate your efforts and will still complain of boredom and dissatisfaction. When you can give up approval and appreciation seeking behaviours, then you will start living the sort of life that promises inner peace and contentment.
During the course of your life, you are likely to meet two very different kinds of people, the ones who tear you down, find fault and criticise and the ones who build you up, encourage and help you feel more confident about yourself. In the end, you’ll thank them both because there are important lessons to be learned from spending time with both types. True friends are the ones you give you total freedom to be yourself because they accept you for the person that you are and they do not harbour a hidden agenda. You may not be able to control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them. There is power in choosing to always be yourself and proud of who you are and what you have achieved in this life, so always be a first rate version of yourself and not a second rate version of someone else. Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets and so is wasting valuable time, so love the people who accept you for who you are and dismiss those who don’t because they do not deserve your friendship.
As you begin to grow more confident and accepting of yourself you will soon realise that you are a wonderful, beautiful soul, deserving of true happiness, just the same as anyone else. You were born an original, don’t die a copy.
Being true to yourself is the smartest thing you can ever do. Never let the words of others lead you down a road of confusion. Shine like the bright, beautiful star that you are and never dull your shine for somebody else. If they are blinded by your dazzling brightness, tell them to put on some sunglasses.
Until Next Week,
Love and Light,
Linda and The Lulas xxx
