Hello Readers,
When life and people continually make such enormous demands upon your time it is so easy to get caught up in all the chaos and mayhem that exists when there is no structure in place and when you find it difficult to say ‘no’. Losing control over your priorities is frustrating and stressful to say the least and it can lead to misunderstandings, communication breakdowns and illness. Perhaps your schedule has grown so complicated that you do not know whether you are coming or going and this is when problems arise.
It has been said many times before that time is our most precious commodity and like money, people tend to waste and fritter away both on useless and mindless exercises that show no promise of a positive outcome. The first thing to do is to rid yourself of anything or anyone that does not enhance your life nor appreciates your efforts. This may not make you the most popular person on the planet, but who cares? Self-love and self-care is one of the most important things you can do for yourself because how you respect yourself is how others will respect you.
Choosing how we spend our time can also cause problems if your plans do not include certain people, but everyone gets the same 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so it is up to us to make time for what we really want to do. Once you have been brave enough to put down those all-important, long overdue boundaries and made some ‘you time’ for yourself, you will begin to feel so much happier, healthier and empowered. This is because you have taken control of how you choose to use and enjoy your time and this in itself will all add to giving you a greater feeling of self-worth and confidence. There are many people who make the mistake of becoming someone’s down time, spare time or part time. If they are not there all of the time, they are not even worth your time. When it comes to love and loss, acceptance is never easy. We cannot make someone see all we have to give, make them love us or make them change. All we can do is move on and stop wasting time. Never waste your time chasing things that will not be beneficial to your future. Never let somebody waste your time twice, so ditch the people who continually waste your time and take you for granted.
Rest and care are so important because when you take time to replenish your spirits it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel. Always be kind to yourself. Time is free but its priceless. You can’t own it but you can use it. You can’t keep it but you can spend it and once you have lost it you can never get it back.
Do something today that your future will thank you for.
Until Next Week,
Linda and The Lulas xxx
