HELLO READERS
Over time you will begin to realise the futility of worrying and instinctively know what is right and what is a complete waste of time and space. Along the way you get to understand your limitations and how damaging it can be to constantly agree to accommodate those who don’t care about you. Set time aside to protect your wellbeing whilst guarding your sanity, privacy and money. Where force is necessary, then there always problems. If something doesn’t flow, then don’t go. Make sure that you keep a healthy distance from toxicity and negativity to avoid getting dragged into other people’s dramas. Your efforts will be unappreciated, and neither will they care as long as they get what they want.
Sometimes we must undergo hardships, breakups, and suffer deep woundings that shatter our dreams and illusions. We undergo a reality check before accepting that we are not as young as we once were, and that the loss of something is not necessarily the end, but just the beginning of a new chapter. Good health and spiritual awakening is necessary to keep us motivated and focused. From the moment we awaken each morning, the pressure is on for us to robotically perform our duties, carrying on regardless, never complaining nor explaining. We live in a fast-moving society where expectations are high, some which can sometimes prove overwhelming and intensely demanding, but we all have duties and responsibilities to adhere to. Much is said about achieving life balance, but this is often easier said than done. Sometimes life and relationships test our patience and tolerance levels to breaking point. Unless you are extremely fortunate, most people work like Trojans from dawn to dusk without much of a break, nor a word of gratitude. Not everyone can afford the time nor the money for occasional treats or holidays, or even live in a warm, safe environment. There is a price to pay for everything and over committing can push even the strongest people to breaking point.
Survival is a constant juggling act, but every now and again, we can look forward to those rare occasions where a glimmer of hope suddenly appears on the horizon, uplifting our hearts from out of the doldrums with the promise of joy ahead. It’s when we are offered a helping hand, or even a small token of appreciation for our efforts, sacrifices and dedication that can make all the difference. When we stop and take a good look around, it’s important to count our blessings because there is always someone worse off, and there are those who are better off and still miserable. You can’t please everyone, so work on pleasing yourself.
Consider each new day as a massive privilege to be alive because tomorrow isn’t promised, and for some, it may never come. We do not acquire knowledge for the benefit of others, we learn to unlearn ignorance and self-destructive behaviour patterns because the single biggest threat to our mortality are the decisions we make, our reactions and responses together with the subsequent consequences that follow.
Remember those days when you were afraid of being alone, these days you are more likely to be afraid of surrounding yourself with the wrong people. Wisdom comes with age, maturity and knowing.
‘Lying, thinking
Last night
How to find my soul a home
Where water is not thirsty
And bread loaf is not stone
I came up with one thing
And I don’t believe I’m wrong
That nobody,
But nobody
Can make it out here alone’.
Love and light,
Linda and the Lulas xxx
