Hello Readers,
Speech gives us a unique power to lead a double life by saying one thing and meaning another.
Every choice we make affects some aspect of our lives. Most of us live as though we have two lives to live. The face we show to the world and the one which resides closed doors. At some point in life everyone goes through a period of ‘Traviamento’, when we take a turn in life down a different pathway, perhaps one we weren’t prepared for, something we hadn’t really given much thought to, yet this decision proves life changing in some way or other. Some of us recover from this journey, some pretend to recover whilst others never come back. If someone wants to lead a double life they will find a way you do it. There is no stopping them, but that doesn’t mean you have to join them.
There are people who pretend to care about you and to be your friend, but inwardly they are filled with jealousy and envy towards you.
Often they will promise you things to lull you into a false sense of security, but it can all turn out to be one big lie. Even when people mean what they say at the time, they can still change their mind. People who are two faced sometimes forget which mask they are wearing because they are so busy costume changing into yet another fancy dress. They too can become confused without realising it, and by then it’s too late. Sometimes people may clap you on your back with one hand and clench an envious fist behind theirs whilst they are smiling. It’s when some people put on their best face that they are lying to the world. They underestimate your intelligence hoping you won’t see through them. They are used to getting away with things because in the past they always have.
One true friend is better than ten who would stab you in the back if they could get away with it. Sometimes it’s a case of your best friend being your worst enemy.
If you know someone who has two faces, then tell them to at least make one of them pretty.
Love and Light,
